Fitness reduces the risk of diabetes

According to the researchers, whatever the level of fitness and cardio-respiratory health is more, the risk of developing symptoms of pre-diabetes or type-2 diabetes will be reduced. Doctor Lisa Chu, a member of the research team from the University of Minnesota, said: "This study presents some documents in order to support of this popular belief that fitness is effective in reducing the risk of diabetes as well". In this study, 4,300 adults participated. All of them underwent treadmill exercise test for the first time in 1985 or 1986, when were between 18 and 30 years of age. A treadmill test was conducted again in the seventh and twentieth years of study. During this time, people have better health of heart-lung had expose in lower risk of pre-diabetes or type-2 diabetes. According to the researchers, from 8 to 11 percent of fitness and better heart-lung health decrease the risk of type 2 diabetes by as much as 0.1 percent. The researchers acknowledged that the high level of fitness required performing heavy and intense exercise for 30 minutes a day, five days a week of moderate exercise for 40 minutes a day, five days a week.
